Experience Canterbury’s Incredible Backcountry

Anna Keeling Guiding offers backcountry ski guiding and recreational avalanche education in the Craigieburn Range and ski touring and ski mountaineering in Arthur’s Pass National Park.  Wide open alpine bowls, spectacular views of the Main Divide, alpine lakes and braided rivers plus easy access from ski areas and the highway, make snow riding optimal.

Anna and her team of professional ski guides can find powder or corn stashes and have the local knowledge to link up the many bowls for a single – or multi – day excursion. Our signature trip – the Craigieburn Haute Route takes experienced ski tourers from Craigieburn Valley ski area to Mt Olympus via the ski lodges of Broken River, Cheeseman and Mt Olympus over four days. No overnight packs – the lodges are fully serviced with hot showers and all meals provided.

International: Enquire directly if you are interested in remote Northern Norway. In April 2026, Anna is offering a one-week boat to ski excursion as well as one-week lodge-based touring in the very far northern coast of Norway. Numbers and space are limited.
